When in Salisbury, don't quench your caffeine and calorie cravings in an ordinary café: delight your eyes and creative mind too with a visit to the award-winning Fisherton Mill Gallery, Studios and Café.
Built in 1880, this beautifully restored, red-brick grain mill is now a thriving spot and a finalist from the Observer Food Monthly Awards 2022. The arty café serves delicious barista-styled coffee and a great selection of homemade cakes and sweet tarts. Lunches are light, modern, fresh and best enjoyed in the sunny courtyard with its continental atmosphere: expect pomegranate-topped salads and stilton and Parma ham open sandwiches. The café sits within the gallery shop, which tempts with copious gift ideas from handmade artwork and jewellery to homewares. The courtyard and first floor house the studios where resident artists and makers work.
This lovely creative space is a Salisbury must-see, just five minutes from the city's renowned cathedral and medieval streets.
