M32

Bristol's bustling Public Market farm shop is on a self-confessed mission to buck the trend of a broken food system. It wants each and every visitor to reconnect with quality, nourishing food that looks and tastes phenomenal. Owner Rob is proud that his efforts to 'do food better' have created a business that now supports over 100 local growers and producers.

In this happy, hybrid hub in a huge red-brick building, everything is ethically sourced. General store meets farm shop meets deli, with savouries and baked goods to make you drool. Cakes and tarts rub shoulders with sausage rolls and sourdough sandwiches and the vast cheese counter and high-welfare meat section both demand your attention.

The Public Market is a sister company to Brockley Stores (the 'secret that everyone knows about' near Bristol airport). It's just off the main M32 route into the centre so parking at peak times can be tricky. For such commendable ethics, it's worth the effort. There's bench seating outside and Eastville Park and Snuff Mills are nice local spots for a stroll.
