Razz is one of life's colourful characters, as you'll gather on entering her friendly, high-street hideout. The street in question is in Harleston, a lively market town full of independent shops that often scoops Norfolk's Town of the Year title.
The Hungry Cat is deli meets café, with wholefoods and hard-to-find store cupboard items on tap. Razz runs things along colourful, healthy lines and has written her own cookbook: Easy Enough Even for the Beginner (by Erasmia Kyriakou). She loves seeing people enjoy her homemade bakes and pastries; the spanakopita will evoke Greek holidays gone by and the rich mushroom and rosemary Wellington is one to recreate at home. Oven-fresh savouries cool under cages and you can polish off your coffee and cake inside or out in the Mediterranean-style courtyard. The baklava is melt-in-the-mouth.
The water-crossed Norfolk Broads lie between you and the UK's most easterly point at Lowestoft Ness.
