Yorkshire Sculpture Park is the largest sculpture park in Europe, with around 100 artworks across 500 historic acres and diverse exhibitions in six indoor galleries. It's both a cultural destination and an unusual escape from the road on big north-south drives. With its impressive architecture and views, The Weston opened in 2019. Under its wildflower roof, dining, shopping and art co-exist in one contemporary space. An added appeal is that it has its own entrance and parking (both free).
Enjoy table service on the terrace or in the restaurant - with its winter-ready wood burner - choosing from a local, Yorkshire-driven menu. The bouillabaisse and wild mushroom and chestnut gnocchi are highlights.
