The March Hare, smart behind a charcoal grey shopfront on Market Rasen’s high street, is lively with regulars popping in for their morning coffee or a bite to eat.
Chef and owner Trevor took over the March Hare on the back of a crowdfunder campaign, and has ploughed his energy into creating a welcoming neighbourhood hub and an excellent menu. The initial focus was on brunch, in line with the trend washing in across the country from Australia, and the dishes are finely honed – waffles with bacon and egg, pancake stacks and mackerel on toast. Try the gingerbread milkshake for an afternoon treat. Steaks and tapas are served alongside cocktails in the evening, so it’s also a strong contender for dinner stops.
Browse the deli for store cupboard ingredients and car treats before you depart. Takeaway coffees are available too.
