Always ahead of the curve, Kilnford opened its farm shop in 2011 and now flourishes in person and online. Jock's family have farmed here for 300 years and their expertise is behind Kilnford's world-class Galloway beef and exquisite Blackface lamb. Animal welfare is a priority, and they hold the RSPCA's highest Freedom Food award.
The deli counter overflows with cheeses, cooked meats and olives; veggie and fruit boxes can be ordered to collect. In a hurry? Head to the new kid on their block: the Kilnford Bothy. Its 'Steak, Cattle and Roll' burger is a hit with gourmands and punsters alike.
The stone and wood renovated steading houses the courtyard Farmhouse Kitchen Café, where imaginative chefs create tasty dishes year-round. Jock's favourite home-reared dish?
