Narberth is a cornucopia of good food, the food capital of the wild West, and one of the newest additions to its already excellent high street is Fforc Welsh Deli.

It’s the latest venture from Sam and Martin who have a chicken farm down the road in Laugharne: “it's hard to make money selling eggs so we wanted to open a deli, and it was Narberth or nowhere”. They’re dedicated to advocating Welsh producers and stock a huge range behind the bright bay window: pickles, gin, chocolate, smoked meats, cheese, jerky, teas, infused oils. Coffee is roasted down the road in Ammanford by Coaltown Coffee, who started their roastery to reinvigorate industry in a former mining town, and is a deliciously smooth credit to them.

Plunder the shelves and pick up a sandwich or deli snack to go along with one of those delicious coffees.
