You won’t find better views of the North Berwickshire coast. Panoramic windows cut into the converted shipping containers give spectacular clifftop views of the North Sea and Bass Rock so you can watch clouds or waves roll in as you refuel.
Farmers Jo and Stuart opened the doors to their wood-clad container café here in summer 2018 with the simple notion of offering decent coffee, finger-licking cakes, tasty breakfasts and wholesome lunches, and have been expanding ever since. “The scones,” says Jo, “have a following of their own.”
For those that prefer to dine al fresco, there are picnic tables outside, deliciously bathed in the scent of the herbs planted alongside. If you’ve got time, wander down the steep hill to walk along the beach for some salty air before you continue your journey.
