Whether you explore the abundant display garden or farm shop shelves or simply seize a quiet moment in the wildlife hide, you'll be revived by a stop at Hillers. This well-established spot is run by fourth-generation sisters Emma and Sally. Their connection to nearby Ragley Hall Estate and neighbouring growers means that produce for the butchery counter and restaurant is super-local: asparagus, salads, beef, lamb, pork and even game in season.

The Garden Café is in the low, brick building of a former fruit preserving factory. Generous portions are served from sun-up onwards, from homemade muesli and cream teas with clotted cream and strawberry jam, to poached salmon fillets with local asparagus. The restaurant always sings with the clink and tinkle of cutlery on crockery but, if you're just passing, consider a takeaway coffee from Hillers Hut in the show gardens or a filled deli baguette instead.

Kids are well provided for with a large sandpit to dig and a miniature railway to ride, while grown-ups will love browsing the gift, homeware and interiors shop.
