Whether you explore the abundant display garden, browse the homewares, stock up in the farm shop or take a moment of quiet in the wildlife hide, you'll be revived by a stop at Hillers. It's well established, run by fourth-generation sisters Emma and Sally, and its connection to nearby Ragley Hall Estate and neighbouring growers means produce for the butchery counter and restaurant are super-local - asparagus, salad, beef, lamb pork, chicken, and even game in season.
The Garden Café is in a long, low brick building that was once a fruit preserving factory. Generous portions are served from sun-up onwards, from homemade muesli and compote, to poached salmon fillets with local asparagus, or cream teas with clotted cream and strawberry jam. The restaurant is always filled with the clink and tinkle of cutlery on crockery, but if you're just passing grab a take-away coffee from Hillers Hut in the stunning show gardens or a filled baguette from the deli.
Kids are well provided for with a large sandpit to dig at the front of the café and a miniature railway to ride, while grown-ups will love browsing the gift and interiors shop.
