From the moment you step through the doors at The Farm, it’s clear that this is a brotherhood of foodies. Brush past the beds of the market garden (which supplies the café, naturally( and you’ll find rustic wooden shelves and trestle tables groaning with produce from artisan local producers. From local fruit and oils to kimchi (fermented in one of The Farm’s own micro-kitchens where peeping is invited), prime steaks and bouquets of home-grown flowers, everything is carefully selected and drawn from Warwickshire and neighbouring counties.
The café is called Nourish and does just that, serving wholesome, flavourful dishes, much of it organic, to pretty tables topped with posies of flowers – try the fish sharing board or one of the sourdough pizzas. There are work stations and a library corner if you can only give the office the slip for so long, and you can pick up a bag of the coffee in the shop if you, like us, enjoy the flavour.
Kids will be in their element between the wonky playouse, welly wanging, goose herding and meeting the pigs, so allow time for a lengthy stop.
