It’s worth adding the cute seaside village of Rhôs-on-Sea to your itinerary for its charming seafront promenade, lively arts scene and famous puppet theatre.
One of the jewels in the local food scene is the Vintage Kitchen, which started life in a beautiful retro Citroën H van, bringing Leanne’s A-grade baking to the masses. You’ll have to have iron willpower to
resist the sweet treats: caramel cookie brownies, Biscoff cake, or Rolo-topped chocolate and caramel. Finding favour with foodies, the menu has expanded to include healthy, filling lunches too, such as chickpea and tomato salad, mushroom and almond soup, chicken, falafel and hummus wrap or a make-your-own salad box. It’s all available to take away (including the excellent coffee; bonus points for bringing your own cup), but if you’re lucky you can bag a table behind the curved glass window in the small pristine cafe.
If you want to take one of those delectable cakes home, give Leanne a call in advance and she’ll have one waiting for you.
