Housed in a redbrick former cowshed, Churncote Farm Shop and Kitchen offers a characterful break from the road and is popular with those travelling to or from mid-Wales.
The shelves are stocked with an impressive selection of produce, from the farm’s own beef and lamb to veg, butter, ice cream, cheese and countryside versions of store cupboard essentials, including gluten-free products. Pies and meals from the farm kitchen are available to take home – perfect for the end of your journey. Or if you prefer to cook, talk to the highly knowledgeable butchers behind the counter who are happy to guide customers to the right cut and cooking technique.
The same friendliness extends to the cafe staff over in the Cote Kitchen, an airy modern timber building on the other side of the yard. Replenish your energy with proper home-cooked food – maybe a full English, breakfast roll, something from their range of light bites and main meals or a cup of tea and slice of freshly baked cake.
