Rumwell Farm Shop and Café

Rumwell is a family business that started selling potatoes at the farm gate. It's now a thriving food hub whose smartly dressed staff are happy to serve their local community and visitors from further afield.

In the vast food hall, gift area, butchery, bakery and deli, you'll be dizzy with indecision, faced with homemade cakes and treats. Watch sausages being made with pork from the home-reared pigs (whose bacon wins south west gold). The Jam Kitchen churns out jams and chutneys galore and the accolade-dripping doughnuts are but one output of the artisan bakery. You can bring your own containers to minimise packaging and there's even a fresh milk vending machine.

The café's countryside views can be enjoyed over breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. If in a rush, opt for take-out drinks, sweet slices, burgers or savoury snacks at the Food to Go counter. Dogs are welcome outside; children will make a beeline for the playground with sandpit, ride-on tractors and climbing frame.
