Ben's Farm Shop

Ben Watson's family has farmed Riverford's 350 hectares for 70 years, expanding into all corners of the good life from organic dairy goods to fresh veg boxes. The next generation - all five of them - work in the farm or its foodie sidelines, ensuring first-rate food that is grown with love and intelligence, from the farm not the factory. As Ben says, "Food should tell a story and, because we know what it is, we can tell you."

This classic farm shop and café has a traditional butchery plus deli and fruit and veg counters whose tempting displays offer an endless harvest festival. Pies, pasties, cakes and dips are made on site or at nearby Hole Farm, and diversions are often made for their pork and herby sausages alone.
