A40

Wright’s Food Emporium sagely adopted the Golden Grove Arms, a former village pub, when it outgrew its previous home in a nearby farm shop. The network of rooms lend themselves perfectly to the holistic foodie concept, with a shop and kitchen selling produce and meals from across West Wales. Duck-egg blue panelling, mismatched chairs, repurposed bureaux, scrubbed wooden tables and vintage posters create a low-key, relaxed ambience.

Munch generous antipasto platters (the charcuterie is second to none and the pickles homemade) and salads in the bright conservatory, and enjoy the much-celebrated pork belly Cubano in the dining room or in the courtyard garden. Bread and cakes are baked fresh every day and the menu of sandwiches, salads, soups and stews changes weekly.

Pick up wines, ciders and a selection of ‘heat and eat’ dishes and puddings or pre-order online. Fill your tote bag with delicious focaccia, lumps of Welsh cheese, signature chilli sauce and organic lavender hand creams.
