The Lime Kiln Kitchen, with its deck overlooking the Kilverstone Estate's parklands, is within spitting distance of the A11 yet feels like you're in a nature reserve...or at a festival, with the new yurt and two pop-up trailers that are now part of the foodie furniture.
A wide menu serves breakfast, pancakes and sweet waffles, sourdough pizzas (from their own Norfolk Pizza Co. truck), sandwiches, salads and daily specials. The gelato and barista coffees are waiting to impress as are the children's, gluten-free and vegan offerings (which include suspiciously good cake). There’s a lavish afternoon tea with a weekly special such as an iced coffee and walnut scone. Everything is fresh and the service is excellent.
Feed the koi in the pond or send the kids off to feed them while you relax over a bite and a drink, discussing how many plants you can fit in the car. The décor is eclectic, the seating plentiful and the winter woodpile well stocked. Dogs are adored.
