M1

The Yard Café is homely and community spirited. Delicious brunches and lunches are served in its rustic, wiggly-roofed Victorian stable block and portions are plentiful, whether to eat in or take away.

Local breakfast ingredients are crammed into fresh baps and ciabattas all day, such as succulent sausages from Jason’s Organic Butche'sr, on site. For fuller, plated-up breakfasts, arrive before noon. Hearty homemade lunches have seasonal influences, with leafy greens, root veg and more plucked from Cotesbach's own organic garden. Expect signature quiches, homemade soups and sausage rolls, hand-crimped pasties and colourful, creative salads. Craving sugar? The Yard’s in-situ baker crafts legendary daily treats like brownies, lemon polenta cake, and gooey flapjacks speckled with locally picked seasonal fruits.

In winter the wood burner is fired up; come summer the doors are flung open onto a peaceful courtyard with pots of flowers and a canopy for shade.
