A35

Food lovers and organic crusaders need no introduction to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Kitchen. It's relocated from Axminster and been reinvented as the River Cottage Kitchen and Store over at Hugh's HQ, a 100-acre organic smallholding five minutes from the A35, trunk road of the English Riviera.

This wholesome and inventive foodie hub has a welcoming, casual approach to enjoying great food. Views are over rolling farm fields bursting with the seasonal and organic produce that fills the restaurant's plates and menus...and its visitors' bellies. Open for breakfast, lunch, drinks, cakes and cookbook browsing, delights like mussels steamed in River Cottage cider and organic mutton tagine await.

Please note: this new River Cottage venue will launch in 2022. Details are being pinned down as we go to print (and we're as keen to visit as you are). Imagery here is from the previous Axminster location. Please check online for up-to-date visitor information before arrival.
