Isabel Revill set up shop in the old stable 15 years ago with little more than a cash tin and a trestle table selling the farm’s asparagus. From this rustic beginning has grown a thriving farm shop and tearoom, now run day to day by her son-in-law Darren and his team. You can still buy Revill’s asparagus in season – and their carrots, beetroot, raspberries and baby courgettes – but the shop is also stocked with meat, game, vegetables, cheese and gifts sourced from fellow growers and producers across Worcestershire.
Once you’ve filled your basket, head to the tearoom to fill your belly. The breakfasts are excellent and the sandwiches, soups, towering cakes and cream teas served for the rest of the day are lovingly made
to order. It’s all served on charmingly mismatched crockery in a renovated timber-and-brick barn. Newspapers are sold in the shop, if you need any excuse to loiter longer. Or you can stretch your legs before resuming your journey with a stroll along the River Avon.
