Pyne’s is a cracking farm shop and café serving excellent coffee and exceptional food – fast. The steady stream of van drivers is testament to the melt-in-your-mouth breakfast rolls, proper pasties and unique roast-dinner-in-a-box. Everything can be bought to go or linger longer at a farmhouse table.

Malcolm Pyne - one of a long line of butchers - is in charge, together with his wife Julie. Once seen behind the counter you can’t forget him; those trademark mutton chops whiskers and bowler hat still ring bells years later. There’s nothing Malcolm doesn’t know about the perfect cut of meat and he is uncompromising about animal welfare, sourcing only from trusted local farmers. The sausages-du-jour change frequently and are described as legendary.

The farm shop brims with Somerset’s best foodie brands. Reach your treat quota at the cheese, fish and meat counters, or weigh down the car with fresh fruit and veg and Somerset cider.
