Norpar Barns

Hidden down a winding tree-lined track, Norpar Barns is a vision of old-country farming. Its medieval clapboard doors were first opened to the public in 1969, selling dried flowers as a diversification to the family’s traditional farming.

Today the dried flowers have been replaced by a sensational seasonal emporium of rustic homeware and decorations. Each Easter, summer, autumn and Christmas the whitewashed barn is transformed by a new theme. December is a particular highlight with a woodland, Father Christmas, wreath workshops, pork roast and mulled punch, carol singing and a separate blacked-out Christmas light barn. Individuality and Fairtrade are celebrated. You’ll struggle to resist leaving without at least one gorgeous glass bauble or garland, whatever the season. In spring and summer tea and cake is served in a spectacular 14th-century oak barn with wibbly beams decorated with old farm tools, willow boughs and flowers. Don’t miss the home-grown apple juice, available to take away.
