A35

A family-run farm shop brushing the A35, Millers has a snug café and enough country fayre to fill your larder with flavour. Malcolm and his family have been serving hungry travellers and locals for more than 30 years. The Teapot Café is a charming timber nook, flooded with daylight and instantly inviting. It has a selection of home-made cakes, small treats and light, seasonal dishes. If it’s a long journey then a proper full English might be in order or a sausage buttie, all sourced locally, of course; there’s freshly ground coffee and traditional Devon cream tea if you just want a pit stop.

The shop is a mine of farming delights – earthy veggies, spring greens, wonky veg that’s full of flavour and no plastic in sight. There’s also plenty tasty French produce as Malcolm and wife Angela travel to France each week to scour the markets for the country’s best food and drink. If you fancy a tipple at the end of your journey, don’t leave before browsing the impressive wine selection.
