If you love glamping, you’ll love ogling Laing’s gorgeous, hand-crafted shepherd’s huts and camping pods. Farmers-turned-timber-artisans, George and Judith Laing started manufacturing wooden buildings in
2001 after a devastating bout of foot-and-mouth hit their farm.

Today their family-run business has flourished. A modern farm shop filled with gifts and produce from the surrounding area stands alongside a roomy coffee shop. The welcome is warm and friendly, the breakfasts hearty, and Judith’s cooking comforting. Don’t miss out on their in-house jam and biscuits.

In winter months you can snuggle up around the warming wood burner; in summer, spill out onto the sunny terrace. You’ll find it hard to crowbar your kids away from the play area: swings, a playhouse and mini tractors provide welcome respite from in-car squabbles.Children’s hats, bibs, wipes and sun cream are kindly provided if your bag is buried in the boot.
