M42

Marooned in a sea of gorgeous shrubs and surrounded by emerald lawns, Fig and Olive restaurant is a world away from the frenetic M42. You can find it in a former growing shed at Coppice Garden Centre, washed with the soothing sounds of birdsong and scents of the garden.

You won’t be disappointed by the food on offer, rustled up from carefully sourced ingredients. Try the halloumi chips with red pepper hash, salmon teriyaki with steamed coconut rice, or a steak from the grill if you’re famished. Sandwiches and coffee are also served, and better still, you can take your lunch outside to the terrace on summer’s days to eat among the flowers.

Alongside the restaurant is Forage Food Hall selling a cornucopia of delicious produce. The shelves heave with homemade pâtés, Fruits of the Forage jams and cordials (made with fruit foraged from abandoned orchards) alongside a well-stocked deli counter, butchery, bakery and fresh veg barrows.
