A1

The family has been farming here for over 140 years but Farmer Copleys as it is seen today began 15 years ago and is a fantastic showcase of sustainable agriculture and British food.

You’ll struggle to resist the homemade jams, fudge, chutneys and gelato in the farm shop as well as farm fresh fruit and vegetables. Plunder the lovely deli and 10m-long butchery counter for ingredients for your dinner, and peek into the Jam Kitchen to see the cooks at work.

Quirky Bowler hat lampshades hang from the rafters of the award-winning Moo Café next door, where friendly staff serve home-cooked food from breakfast till tea time. Bread and cakes come from the farm’s own bakery; other ingredients from the fields outside.

It’s a great place for kids to learn about farming – we didn’t know that alpacas keep foxes away! You’ll have to peel little ones away from the close-up animal experiences.
