M5

It’s a rather unique combination, a barber and a coffee shop; owner Sue Cooper wanted to set up something a little different in her home town. As a result, 67 Barista Barber is overflowing with personality, from the retro furniture rescued from reclamation yards to the changing art exhibitions on the walls. Enormous windows framed by the darkest deep blue exterior are perfect for people watching as crowds mill in and out of Hill Road’s trendy boutiques. It’s a great refuelling stop after a walk along the seafront with its Victorian pier and bandstand or following a dip in Clevedon Marine Lake, the town's tidal inifinity pool.

The laid-back atmosphere means ‘queuing was never this easy or enjoyable!’ in the words of one customer, and we’re inclined to agree. Whether or not you’re in the market for a haircut, the coffee is excellent (fair-trade and sourced from Devon roastery, Voyager) and Sue’s homemade cakes widely praised. It’s dinky but delightful and one of the best spots in town.
