The Fold

The eco-conscious will adore The Fold, a community enterprise on a rambling organic farm in the Worcestershire countryside with the gentle mission of encouraging sustainable living and escaping the commercial norm.

There’s a farm shop selling seasonal, organic produce grown on site, an independent wine and spirits specialist, and artisan studios offering gifts, homewares and ethical haircuts. You can even find holistic treatments in the tranquil Therapy Centre, while the first Sunday of every month (apart from Jan/Feb) sees a food and craft market where local businesses sell their wares.

The café serves organic food in an arching 17th-century barn, always using good-quality, local, organic meat. Herbivores are well catered for with an excellent range of vegan and vegetarian soups, tarts, salads and freshly baked traybakes and scones.

There’s a fabulous wooden playground for the kids and a nature trail leading down to the river Teme where you can stretch your legs and meet the local wildlife.
