Hidden in small country lanes, Churchfields is a mecca for ice-cream lovers who are drawn to its lip-licking, farm-made ice cream. The options are kaleidoscopic and the house classic, salted caramel, features Churchfields' very own Droitwich Salt. A heritage product with Bronze Age roots, try the Coastline, Sea Truffle or Beech Smoked salt varieties.
As well as richly tempting cones and sundaes, the farm's red-brick, wood-clad Barn Café serves a good selection of homemade savouries, from impressive burgers to panini, soups and salads. Seating is over two floors among wibbly oak beams, antler chandeliers and large windows. In summer you can tumble out onto the patio, looped with festoon lights, or slumber on the grassy terrace in the shade of a tree.
The café is free to access and kids can slide and climb in the playground. Buy a ticket to explore the fun farm or to enjoy seasonal events such as fayres, firework displays and fairy trails.
