M5

You’ll feel your spirits immediately lift among the peaceful throng of flowers in Webbs’ riverside gardens, which are free to visit. Amble through a wisteria walkway, marvel at the colour spectrum garden, let the kids delight in the Hobbit House and learn how vegetables can bring both form and function.

The renovated café seats 400 with more outdoors, plus a picnic area and the kitchen uses Worcestershire ingredients as far as possible – juices from Pershore, traditional farmhouse cheese from Ansteys and luxury ice cream from Bennetts – and serves tasty meals all day. There’s a ‘grab & go’ counter for sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks if you’re short of time.

The food hall sells deli delights, including honey and fig cheese, local beers, freshly baked bread, a chocolate library with more than 100 types of chocolate and a gelato bar. Stretch your legs with a riverside walk or, in winter, skate around the temporary ice rink and meet the reindeer.
