The Field Kitchen is a cornucopia of delights based on the Riverford Organic Farm, so you can rest assured that the food will be full of seasonal flavours. If enjoying brunch, lunch or supper, choose between a table in the beautifully rustic restaurant or, in fine weather, dine among the herbs and flowers on the terrace.
The food is fresh from the fields, the atmosphere light-hearted and convivial, and the cooking superb. Vegetables are the main focus, served in creative guises and varying with the seasons. That might mean sweetcorn, aubergine, squash, cucumbers or one of over 28 juicy heritage tomato varieties. Portions are generous and if you’ve got room, puddings are every bit as delicious as the mains.
Consider a field-to-fork farm tour to work up an appetite or to infuse your home cooking with more creative approaches (check online in advance). You can also wander around the kitchen garden and polytunnels – grab a self-guided farm walk map on arrival. An unfailingly memorable eating experience.
