Cobbs at Englefield is a popular farm shop and delicatessen at the edge of Englefield Estate, between Theale and Pangbourne. A series of converted cow sheds form an incredible spaces with farm shop, delicatessen, traditional butchery counter, florist as well as a café.
This cheerful establishment offers a fantastic array of food from local and British suppliers, including their own home-grown produce, when in season. It sells everything from fresh fruit and veg, eggs, honey and freshly-baked bread to biscuits, smoked fish, pies and juices. The butchery counter sources high-quality meat from farms whose standards of welfare meet their exacting standards; there’s a friendly team of master butchers on hand to help you.
The fully licensed café serves food all day: stacked pancakes with streaky bacon and maple syrup for breakfast; home-made soup or quiche for lunch; or spoil yourself with an afternoon tea (perhaps with bubbles?!). If you’re with your four-legged friend you are very welcome to dine on the terrace.
